Northstar V3: Edit Images

Introduction

The Edit Images page is a new feature in Version 3 that allows administrators to manage images used in reports as well as student and staff ID cards. This functionality ensures consistent branding and accurate presentation across reports and identification materials.


Getting Started

The Edit Images feature is located under the Reporting category.

Updating Report Images

To update images used in reports:

  1. Select the image you would like to replace (such as a report header).
  2. Choose the image file to upload.

  1. A preview window will appear displaying the selected image. If the image does not match the recommended dimensions, the system will display a notification.
  2. Review the preview to confirm the image meets your requirements.
  3. Select Replace Image to save your changes.

Once saved the system will confirm the update. The Preview section allows you to see how the image will appear within reports.


Managing Student and Staff ID Cards

The Edit Images page also allows you to update images used on student and staff ID cards. Image settings are organized by card section, making it easy to update specific areas.

To update ID card images:

  1. Select the area of the ID card you want to update:
    • Campus Logo
    • Front background image
    • Back background image
  2. Upload the new image file.
  3. The system will display a warning if the image does not match recommended dimensions.

  1. Use the preview window to ensure the correct image has been selected and displays properly.
  2. Select Save or Replace Images to apply the changes.

Once saved, the updated image will be reflected on the corresponding ID card layout.

  • Use recommended image sizes and formats to ensure optimal display and print quality.
  • Review images carefully in the preview window before saving.
  • Maintain consistent branding across reports and ID card images.
