Courses

• [From v2.22.5.0]
  • Added additional validation to prevent changes to certain ‘core’ fields once a Course has been scheduled into. An ‘Is Scheduled’ checkbox in the top-right corner of the edit window displays the enrollment status. Certainly, we realize that there are some scenarios when edits to these core fields are needed post-enrollment and are not trying to restrict that entirely. The goal is to prevent unintended side-effecting changes that would alter previously reported or calculated values. If edits to the disabled fields are needed in the meantime, please email support@northstarmis.org and we will assist in making them and ensuring historic data is minimally affected. In the future, we would like to provide a way to ‘override’ the validation locally to allow the college to make exceptions on their own when needed.
• Fixed the new validation mentioned above to allow ‘Instruction Type’, ‘COE Credit Approval Date’ and ‘Credits’ to be added to existing courses that have already been scheduled. Note, this allows the values to be initially set once for current courses, and then would require an exception request to change after the fact so we can ensure Credit conference validity is maintained.
