Released

Portal

  • Added support for a new ‘SessionKey’ query parameter to be used on the /Courses/Sessions page when browsing courses. This allows for external systems to link directly to a single enrollment option in cases where the Northstar CourseSessionKey of the Primary Lock-Step session is used for the custom connection.
    • Note: The Portal already makes use of a key= (Course PK) and category= parameter automatically. Now, sessionKey= can be optionally added

  • Improved the performance of the Calendar view for enrollment schedules on the Student Dashboard.
  • Added back the "[R] - Student Schedule" report to the Student and Sponsor Dashboards. This was previously removed when the "[R] - Student Schedule Detail" report was added several years ago.

Program API

  • Added ‘RequiredCredits’ as a field to the Live (/Portal) API endpoint. Previously, it was only available on the testing beta site (/Test).

[E] – Course Session Aging (new)

  • Added a new report that can be used to identify unused Course Session records. The ‘Days Since’ parameter is used to show how long it’s been since it was last assigned to a student’s Schedule Detail. The ‘Show ..Detail’ an ‘Show ..Summary’ options can be used alternatively to show either a summary list of courses (shorter) or all individual sessions (longer)

Course Sessions/ Batch Course Session

  • Added a default setting for the “Daily Drop Eligible” checkbox field. Currently, this field is internally configured to default to True when creating a new Course Session only at Ogden-Weber. To change the default setting for your college please contact support@northstarmis.org.

[R] - Class Roll

  • Added a new ‘Hide Student ID’ parameter to the report. If selected, only the student names will be included and not the Student ID.

Training Plans

  • Added ability to remove a Training Plan, even if it already has Enrollment Periods, as long as the

Enrollment Periods have also been removed first.

Courses

  • Updated the display of the items in the ‘Instruction Type’ drop-down to show the Description and the Hour:Credit ratio.
  • Update the Instruction Type field to only include the currently defined LEC, LEL and SUP codes.

Transaction History

  • Added an ability for Tuition and Fee items to be manually charged in case they get out-of-sync. Typically, fees will get out-of-sync if they are added to, or removed from, class assignments after students have already been enrolled.
  • It’s intended to be used in conjunction with the ‘Tuition and Fee’ alerts on the Notifications form. The details of all pending tuition and fee items are displayed on the Notifications form. From there you can double-click a result to select that student. On the Transaction History form, first click ‘Check Pending Items’ to confirm if anything is pending, and then ‘Sync Pending Items’ to apply the charges or refunds
