Northstar Landing Page Overview

  1. The "about" window gives you information on Northstar version. Clicking the "Send Error Report" and "Email Error Report" will enable the system to take a screenshot of the error you are experiencing and allow you to email the error to Northstar support.
  2. In searching for students, if your search result lists multiple students, these allow you to scroll to the next student or to the first and last student on the list.
  3. This will show the name of the student that you have opened.
  4. Any monetary transactions you make will be made under this cash drawer.
  5. Hit the refresh button after saving changes to see the updated information.
    1. Notifications: the type of notifications you see will depend on your role. It can consist of open cash drawers, unsubmitted rolls, scheduling issues.

  6. Click this to change your password, log out of the system, and set user interface preferences
  7. Here you will find all of the forms and reports. The types of forms and reports you see will vary based on your role and access that your institution has granted.
  8. Use any of the search fields to look up student accounts. The results tab will list all of the students that match your search. Within the results, there is a "recent" tab that will show a list of students that you have opened.
  9. Start typing the name of any form or report and it will filter out the list.
  10. A quick snapshot of a specific program by instructor outlining number of students, enrollment objectives and other data
